Hears bills on agricultural chemistry, economics, research, production, promotion, marketing, and services. Also covers forestry regulation, livestock and meat products, rural development, soil conservation, and related topics.
Commerce
Hears bills on banking and its regulation, corporations, credit unions, small loan companies, licensing and standards of professions, businesses, and occupations. Also covers tourism and communications by telephone, telegraph, radio, television, or other media.
Education
Hears bills on primary, secondary, vocational, and adult education. Also covers colleges and universities, state and public libraries, cultural affairs, museums, and the school lunch program.
Environmental Quality
Hears bills on air quality, hazardous waste, pollution, solid waste regulation, water resources, and environmental control and regulation generally.
Finance
Hears bills on the appropriation of state funds, budget requirements and procedures, fiscal controls, the general appropriations bill, and general finance matters.
Health and Welfare
Hears bills on child care facilities, elderly affairs, public and private hospitals, nursing homes, veterans affairs, vocational rehabilitation, and other health and welfare topics.
