Empowering communities through digital skills that unlock education, employment, and full participation in society.

Empowering Communities Through Digital Skills

At LORI, we believe that true integration and empowerment require access—not only to language education and legal protection, but also to the essential tools of the digital age. Our Computer Literacy Program equips refugee and immigrant communities with foundational digital skills that support independence and long-term success.

Why Digital Literacy Matters

In today’s world, navigating school portals, accessing telehealth appointments, completing job applications, or even connecting with loved ones often requires basic computer knowledge. For many newly arrived individuals, these digital skills are not immediately accessible—creating barriers to education, employment, and community engagement. We’re addressing that gap head-on.

Program Overview

Integrated into our ESL curriculum, our weekly Computer Literacy Days provide hands-on, culturally responsive instruction in digital tools and platforms. This integrated approach ensures that participants not only improve their language skills, but also gain practical computer knowledge.

Skills We Teach

  • Using email and online communication platforms
  • Navigating websites and online forms
  • Accessing public services and resources
  • Job searching and resume building
