Dear {{FirstName or ‘friend’}},
This fall, we’ve watched a 528-bed detention facility in Alexandria near completion, meant to hold immigrant families and children. We’ve watched a national human rights report confirm what our own community already knew — that Louisiana has become ground zero for this country’s immigration enforcement agenda. We’ve sat with families who are waiting, still, on decisions about their future that haven’t come.
And through all of it, we’ve also watched our community keep showing up — at town halls, at board meetings, at food pantry lines, at citizenship ceremonies, in classrooms. That is the Louisiana we know.
